Paul Kleber has been holding down the low end in Berlin since the mid-'90s — and if you've been listening to jazz, you've also been listening to him. As a double bassist, electric bassist, composer and producer, he works with ensembles and acts such as Jazzanova Live, Sebastian Studnitzky, the Moka Efti Orchestra, Fink, Micatone, jazzIndeed, the Uri Gincel Trio, Emiliana Torrini, DeeDee Bridgewater, Mark Murphy, David Friedman, Nina Hagen, Friedrich Liechtenstein, Lisa Bassenge and Nightmares On Wax.

With his own record Little Home (XJAZZ!Music) he is now appearing as a frontman for the first time: “These are the songs that I've been composing in my living room studio for over a decade.” The record sheds light on his songwriting, that could only be hinted at in his previous collaborations - how multi-faceted it really is.

Four musicians who've logged enough hours together that the music breathes on its own. Bass-led but never bass-heavy. Groove and electronic influences are merging with acoustic sounds and quiet and atmospheric moments, always characterized by the joy of playing, spontaneity and inspiration of the band.

Three producers, three takes on the same groove. Matthias Vogt, David Delgado, and live techno trio Komfortrauschen each reworked Gamechanger from the ground up — stretching Paul's acoustic bass lines into dancefloor territory.
